About Hue & Grist
Hue & Grist is an independent hand-dyed yarn company that was founded on the idea that creativity counts and small every day decisions can effect positive change.
The Hue & Grist philosophy is that while beautiful yarn can be a work of art in and of itself, its beauty shouldn't disappear the moment your hank becomes a ball, nor should it come at the expense of a healthy planet or human rights. For this reason, I dye with the beginning and end in mind; from sourcing the materials, to dyeing, washing, packaging and shipping, to you completing its journey by crafting it into a beautiful finished object, my hope is that my yarns will only create good.

About the Dyer
I'm an adventurous fiber fiend. I started out with crochet when I was expecting my first baby, discovered knitting just in time for it to get me through a very difficult time in my life and from there my growing love of the fiber arts led me to yarn dyeing, spinning, and finally weaving.
I believe in slow fashion, environmentally friendly fibers and making the world a little bit better and a little more beautiful one project at a time.
